Who We Do It For

Skills for a Smoother Transition
1

MAKE A PLAN

The primary responsibility for our team is to help students turn their dreams into goals and their goals into an actionable plan. Once a student has their Career and Academic Plan, they are ready to take the next step.

2

IMPLEMENT THE PLAN

Throughout the school year, students work with their Treasure Hunters to make sure they are prepared for their future opportunities. To take the guess work out of all that paperwork, every thing a student needs for work, college, military service or entrepreneurship goes into their portfolio.

We can do what we do without you but it simply isn't as meaningful. â€‹

We know that you are busy living your life. Balancing your work and home is tricky enough without adding volunteer time. We get it. But here's the truth. You are living someone's dream life.

Yes, you.

And we make it really simple for you to pop into the classroom and talk to our students about what it's really like to do what you do. They want to know who helped you. What you studied. How you got that lucky break. They want to know what you like about your job and what you don't. They want to know what you would do differently and what you hope the future brings for your industry. Basically, they want to know what you know and you can really make a difference in just one 45 minute class.

If you make hiring decisions for your company our classes give you a great opportunity to share your vacancies and find a capable talent pool.

And, just like you, our students love to "get out of the office" with field trips to real life businesses.

WORK THE PLAN

Giving a Speech

Our team stays with students for one year after high school graduation with monthly conversations about how their plan is working. This gives young adults the opportunity to course correct or tweak their goals before they become overwhelmed.

MENTORNSHIP

TELL US YOUR STORY

TEACH US

TELL YOUR NETWORK

It is the simplest way to "pay it forward." Simply reach out to us about guest speaking in the classroom. In as little as 45 minutes you can give students a glimpse into your profession.

Join us in the classroom armed with your expertise. Our students needs to know what you know so, for example, if you sell insurance, teach them how to shop for policies. You don't have to be an educator to teach.

Most young people don't have large professional networks. You can help give them a shot at their goals but helping spread the world. Tell your network about those exceptionally talented young people you met.

LET US SEE YOU IN ACTION

GIVE US A GLIMPSE

SUPPORT US

Our students take several field trips to local businesses during the year. If you are willing to show them around your business, let us know. Who knows, you may just inspire the next generation to do what you do.

Even if you aren't hiring, you can give our students a glimpse into your industry. Our students would love to follow you around for a day to really experience "a day in the life." If you're interested in longer internships, that's great too!

We can't bring these opportunities to students without financial support. You can help by recommending us for your companies giving initiatives, donate goods and services or make a personal donation. As a 501(c)3, your donation is tax deductible.

GET TO KNOW US

FIGHT FOR US

HIRE US

We are confident that once you meet our students, you will want to get to know them even better. To do that you can join them for any one of many events they host such as mock job interviews or service learning.

There are many worth while causes in Florida and some years it's hard to get the attention our students deserve. You can help them by writing to your legislator or mentioning us to them the next time you see them.

The next time you are looking for a talented, capable and devoted employee; think of our students. Young workers can be time consuming but remember we help support you and them as they learn their new job.
