S.U.P.E.R.B.'s programs are run in schools and youth organizations around South Florida. Our services are designed to promote bystander intervention, reduce social exclusion, and decrease verbal and physical violence by educating all members of society (peers, parents and educators). S.U.P.E.R.B.'s program teaches children and adolescents social responsibility, intervention skills, respect for cultural diversity, communication skills, and increases self-esteem.

S.U.P.E.R.B.'s Anti-Bullying Groups are the main focus of the program. The anti-bullying program is an 8-week curriculum that is offered to the elementary and middle school population. We focus on this age range as research shows that this is the time that children are most prone to such situations and most likely to change their bullying behavior. In order to connect with the social and cultural issues that a particular school or youth organization are experiencing, S.U.P.E.R.B. interviews the administration of the site and observes how bullying is manifested in that particular setting before groups begin. Based on this information, S.U.P.E.R.B. and the administration discuss which one of the three curriculums is the best "fit" for their students. Each curriculum has 8 different activities and discussion topics that open the eyes of children and adolescents to the bullying crisis and aims to teach them:

  • Social responsibility
  • Bullying intervention skills
  • Consequences of bullying
  • Increase youth's appreciation for cultural differences and similarities
  • Decrease social exclusion based on economic status, ethnic background, appearances, or talents
  • Increase social skills through improving communication, teamwork, and peer cooperation
  • Increase the student's knowledge on how to reduce stress within themselves

In addition to our anti-bullying groups, all sites that run S.U.P.E.R.B.'s 8 week program also receive:

  • Group Counseling
  • Individual Counseling
  • Anti- bullying Parent Training
  • Anti-bullying Staff Training

We match the curriculum to the school's necessities. We offer the curriculum within the school's schedule, (through social studies) or as an after-school program. We have serviced over 10,000 children in Broward County and include all involved parties to better out society.
